About

Experienced counsel with a practical, disciplined approach.

Paul Moretti’s background spans transactional practice, employer-side employment law, commercial litigation, nonprofit general-counsel work, and complex investigations.

Paul J. Moretti

Paul has worked as a contract attorney in transactional practice since 2008, drafting employment agreements, severance agreements, corporate agreements, and other business documents while counseling clients on day-to-day legal questions. His experience also includes serving as general counsel to a midsize nonprofit organization, with responsibility for contract review and drafting.

Before establishing his transactional practice, Paul practiced with law firms in Rhode Island and Louisiana. His work included labor and employment matters, commercial litigation, employment-discrimination defense, HR plans and manuals, ERISA and FLSA compliance matters, negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations.

Earlier in his career, Paul served for twenty years with the New Orleans Police Department, including more than fourteen years conducting public-integrity investigations. That investigative background reinforces a careful approach to facts, documentation, interviews, and workplace issues.
